River Rules & Guidelines

Advance reservations and deposits are required for all float trips to ensure availability.  We take reservations over the phone or via email. In order to confirm this reservation we must receive the deposit within 2 weeks of phone reservation. We require a 1/2 down deposit to confirm your reservation with the remaining 1/2 due upon arrival. Deposits are transferable but NON-REFUNDABLE. We will no longer split up your invoice for everyone to pay individually. Whoever makes the reservation is responsible for paying the invoice. The other members of your group can reimburse the person who made the reservation.

Guests may change the number of tanks, tubes or canoes 2 weeks in advance of their arrival. If tanks, tubes or canoes are dropped at time of arrival you will still be responsible for paying for the number of tanks, tubes or canoes that you had reserved. Full payment is expected for number reserved unless we are notified at least 2 weeks in advance however we will not give you a credit. Extra tanks, tubes and canoes may be added, if available, at time of arrival. In case of bad weather or bad river conditions, you may reschedule your trip to another available date and your deposit will be held as a credit, good for 1 year. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Rules & Guidelines:

We have 3 time slots for putting people in the river: 10 AM, 11 AM & Noon. Please check-in at the office and be ready to go at least 15 minutes before your float time. You are allowed up to 5 hours on the river. Groups going out at the 10 AM time slot need to be back by 3 PM, 11 AM time slot need to be back at 4:00 PM and Noon time slot must by back by 5:00 PM. If you are not back by the designated time there will be an additional charge of $50.00 per tank, tube, canoe, kayak that is late.

NO OPEN ALCOHOL CONTAINERS UNTIL YOU ARE ON THE RIVER and NO UNDERAGE DRINKING! No drinking in the parking lot, NO Drinking & Driving, etc. IT IS THE LAW!

Please come prepared! Have your river clothes on and use the bathrooms before you get here.

After we get you checked in, we will show you where the tank trip ends (at the camp). If you can, we have you fit as many people into as few vehicles as possible. The vehicles that you don’t need to drive up river can be parked by the river at the camp. We then have you follow us up river (about a 5 minute drive) and put you in your tanks/tubes/canoes/kayaks. We will then drive ONE vehicle PER GROUP (not per invoice) back to the camp and park it by the river. You will be responsible for driving up to get your remaining vehicles from the starting point after you get off river. Keep this in mind while on the river as you may want to limit your alcohol consumption or have a designated driver available. Your keys will be left in your vehicle. If you want your vehicle locked, you need to bring an extra set of keys and keep that set with you on the river. We do not keep your keys while you are on the river. You will need to be back by your designated time. Do NOT Drive up river with people sitting on the tailgate of pickup. It is illegal & very dangerous!

Children 12 & under are required by law to wear life jackets. If your kids have their own life jackets we recommend bringing them.

Shower House available after river activity for overnight guests only (tenters and campers who have already paid for shower house use with their overnight stay).
Other guests will be subject to a $3.00 fee per person using shower house. Please let us know when you check in if you will need to use the shower house.

Please help us keep the Cedar River & riverbanks beautiful by not littering. Please keep trash in your tank/tube/canoe/kayak until you arrive back at the camp.. It is your responsibility to clean the trash out of your tank at the end of the trip and take home with you.

At the end of the trip please pull all water equipment (tanks, tubes, canoes, etc) out of the water. We will show you where the trip ends so you know where to pull the tanks, tubes, canoes & kayaks out of the water. If you don’t pull the equipment out of the water far enough, it will keep floating down the river. If this happens you will be responsible for the replacement fees. Also, all life jackets need to be accounted for. If there is any missing, you will be responsible for any replacement fees. Once you pull your equipment onto the sand, please gather your belongings and leave the beach area in a timely manner so we can put away the water equipment. The beach area will become available for registered overnight guests after 6:30 PM.

It is your responsibility to let your group know/read the above rules.

We reserve the right to increase prices to meet unexpected increases for fuel, insurance, etc.

If you have any questions please let us know. Thanks!
