River Rules & Guidelines

Advance reservations and deposits are required for all float trips to ensure availability.  In order to confirm this reservation we must receive the deposit within 1 week of phone reservation. We require a 1/2 down deposit to confirm your reservation with the remaining 1/2 due upon arrival. Deposits are transferable but NON-REFUNDABLE. We will no longer split up your invoice for everyone to pay individually. Whoever makes the reservation is responsible for paying the invoice. Then other members of your group can reimburse the person who made the reservation.

Guests may change the number of tanks, tubes or canoes 2 weeks in advance of their arrival. If tanks, tubes or canoes are dropped at time of arrival you will still be responsible for paying for the number of tanks, tubes or canoes that you had reserved. Full payment is expected for number reserved unless we are notified at least 2 weeks in advance however we will not give you a credit. If you have paid in full and cancel a portion of the invoice, the credit will be on your account for one year.  Extra tanks, tubes and kayaks may be added, if available, at time of arrival. In case of bad weather or bad river conditions, you may reschedule your trip to another available date and your deposit will be held as a credit, good for 1 year. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Each tank is $75.00 + tax. We offer a group discount during the week (Mon-Thurs) of $65 + tax with a minimum of 3 tanks reserved.  NO discounts on weekend rentals. Tank capacity is 4 people. If you choose to put more than 4 people in each tank, there is a $15.00 charge per extra person. This doesn’t apply to kids 8 and under. The tank trip is about 3 ½ - 4 hours long. Please see the Rules & Guidelines section for time limit information.

Each tube is $20.00 + tax. We offer a group discount during the week (Mon-Thurs) of $15 + tax with a minimum of 10 tubes reserved. NO discounts on weekend rentals. Each tube holds 1 person. Minimum of 4 tubes unless also renting a tank or kayak. The tube trip is about 2 ½ hours long. Please see the Rules & Guidelines section for time limit information. We do not allow you to tie tubes together with life jacket, ropes, etc. If you tie the tubes together, you are responsible for paying for any damages to tubes!

Each kayak is $30.00 + tax. Kayak Capacity is 1 person. A Kayak trip is about 2 ½ hours long. Please see the Rules & Guidelines section for time limit information.

If all of our tubes or kayaks are rented, you are allowed to bring your own for an access fee of $10.00 per tube/kayak but only if you are with a group that has booked river activities with us.  If we have availability and you still want to bring your own tube/kayak/canoe, we charge the same price as if you are renting one of ours. You are responsible for hauling your equipment and shuttling your vehicles. The starting point and end point are both private property (not public access). We do not allow you to bring your own tanks. If bringing own tubes, they MUST BE aired up and ready to go 15 minutes BEFORE scheduled river time (NOT once we get to bridge!)

We are located 1/8 Mile north of Fullerton on Highway 14, on the west side of the road.

Suggested Items To Bring:

  • Lawn Chairs
  • Trash Sacks (you are responsible for cleaning trash out of tanks/tubes)
  • Cooler for snacks & beverages (we recommend drinking a lot of water on river to prevent heat-related illness)
  • Sunscreen, Bug spray
  • Extra set of vehicle keys (if you want your vehicle locked)
  • Towels, water shoes
  • Hat/Visor, Sunglasses

Don’t bring anything you don’t want to get wet or lost.

Rules & Guidelines:

We have 3 time slots for river activities: 10 AM, 11 AM & Noon. Please check-in at the office and be lined up in vehicle, ready to go at least 15 minutes before your float time. You are allowed up to 5 hours on the river. Groups going out at the 10 AM time slot need to be back by 3 PM, 11 AM time slot need to be back at 4:00 PM and Noon time slot must by back by 5:00 PM. If you are not back by the designated time there will be an additional charge of $50.00 per tank, tube or kayak that is late.

NO OPEN ALCOHOL CONTAINERS UNTIL YOU ARE ON THE RIVER and NO UNDERAGE DRINKING! No drinking in the parking lot, NO Drinking & Driving, etc. IT IS THE LAW!

Please come prepared! Have your river clothes on and use the bathrooms before you get here (or arrive plenty early to do so once you arrive).

After we get you checked in, you will line up in your vehicles in the designated area. You will follow the pilot vehicle (pilot car leaves 15 minutes before scheduled river time. If you miss it you will have to wait for next trip and WON’T be allowed additional time on river). We will show you where the tank trip ends (at the camp) so you know where to get out of the river and how to pull your tanks, etc out of the water. If you can, we have you fit as many people into as few vehicles as possible. The vehicles that you don’t need to drive up river can be parked by the river at the camp, or in the parking lot if we don’t have an event in the hall. Let the pilot car know how many vehicles you plan on driving to bridge and they will show you where to park extra vehicles. We then have you follow us up river (about a 5 minute drive) to the starting point (tanks, tubes, kayaks will be there). We will then drive ONE vehicle PER GROUP (not per invoice) back to the camp and park it by the river. You will be responsible for driving up to get your remaining vehicles from the starting point after you get off river. Keep this in mind while on the river as you may want to limit your alcohol consumption or have a designated driver available. Your keys will be left in your vehicle. If you want your vehicle locked, you need to bring an extra set of keys and keep that set with you on the river. We do not keep your keys while you are on the river. You will need to be back by your designated time. If you are late getting on the river you still need to be back by the designated time. NO EXCEPTIONS!  Do NOT Drive up river with people sitting on the tailgate of pickup. It is illegal & very dangerous!

Children 13 & under are required by law to wear life jackets. If your kids have their own life jackets we recommend bringing them. If you need a life jacket please let us know when making reservation and remind us when checking in.

Shower House available after river activity for overnight guests only (tenters and campers who have already paid for shower house use with their overnight stay).
Other guests will be subject to a $3.00 fee per person using shower house. Please let us know when you check in if you will need to use the shower house.

Please help us keep the Cedar River & riverbanks beautiful by not littering. Please keep trash in your tank/tube/kayak until you arrive back at the camp. It is your responsibility to clean the trash out of your tank at the end of the trip and take home with you. NO GLASS

At the end of the trip please pull all water equipment (tanks, tubes, kayak) COMPLETELY out of the water. We will show you where the trip ends so you know where to pull the tanks, tubes & kayaks out of the water. If you don’t pull the equipment out of the water far enough, it will keep floating down the river. If this happens you will be responsible for the replacement fees. Also, all life jackets need to be accounted for. If there is any missing, you will be responsible for any replacement fees. Once you pull your equipment onto the sand, please gather your belongings and leave the beach area in a timely manner so we can put away the water equipment. The beach area will become available for registered overnight guests after 6:30 PM. NO VEHICLES ON BEACH unless given permission by BAW Staff.

It is your responsibility to let your group know/read the above rules.

We reserve the right to increase prices to meet unexpected increases for fuel, insurance, etc.

If you have any questions please let us know. Thanks!
Doug & Darla, Dustin & Amanda
